Two bulbs are included, a long burn halogen bulb and a high output halogen. Burn time is 8 hours with the long burn bulb and 3 hours with the high output bulb. Burn times can be extended dramatically by using Lithium batteries.
If you need a headlamp for water sports, you should definitely use a Princeton Tec. The Quest is waterproof to 3.2 feet. Runs on 2 AA batteries. Adventure tested and approved!
